Susan Flannery is an American actress with Irish ethnicity. Winner of one Golden Globe Award and four Emmy Awards, Susan was bought up in New York She got her degree of Bachelor in Fine Arts from Stephens College in Missouri and went on to do graduate work in theatre arts from Arizona State University. She has a daughter who is called Blaise. Susan loves to cook, travel, fly planes and sail. She is a licensed pilot and gourmet cook. She also raises funds for the California State Assembly. She is currently a resident of Santa Barbera, California.
Susan was discovered by producer Irwin Allen who was supposed to cast her in the series Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea. However she ended up doing some guest appearances on the show. Later she appeared in the role of Dr. Laura Horton, in Days of our Lives for which she also won an Emmy Award. In addition she has also appeared on shows like Hope and Faith, Dallas, Death Valley Days, The Time Tunnel, Ben Casey and Money on the Side etc. In addition she has also worked in the films The Gumball Rally, The Towering Inferno, The Gnome-Mobile, and Guns of Diablo. She has been playing the role of Stephanie Douglas on The Bold And The Beautiful since the series started in 1987. She has also donned the cap of the director for some of the episodes of the series as well as for one episode of The Guiding Light.
