John McCook is an American actor who is famous for his roles in daytime soap operas. He studied at the Long Beach State University. He married three times. His first wife was Marilyn McPherson whom he married in 1962 and divorced in 1971. Then he married actress Juliet Prowse with whom he had his fist son named Seth. Prowse was his wife from 1972 to 1979. He got married to his current wife actress Laurette Spang in 1980 and the couple has three children named Jake, Becky and Molly. He currently resides in Los Angeles with his family.
McCook has been playing the role of Eric Forrester for more than twenty years on The Bold And The Beautiful as well as the character of Lance Prentiss on The Young And The Restless. In addition he has also worked in shows like Arrested Development, Amazing Stories, Simon and Simon, L.A.
